Social Worker for Placed Youth

Therefore, we have a cohesive administration that addresses the entire mission of social services under the motto "We support an independent life". The municipality of Nässjö focuses on providing children with the conditions for a good upbringing. To best carry out this work and also provide greater opportunities for development, we are organized into three units for Children and Youth: Investigation Unit, Placement Unit, and Intervention Unit. In total, we have about 65 employees, and the units collaborate closely and effectively.

The Placement Unit is seeking a social worker for our placed youth as we have a colleague going on parental leave. The Placement Unit consists of the Youth Group and the Foster Care Group. In the Youth Group, social workers follow up on placed youth and conduct assessments. In the Foster Care Group, social workers follow up on placed children, while foster care secretaries recruit, assess, and supervise our contractors. Both groups have their own group leader.

The unit has extensive experience, broad competence, commitment, and job satisfaction, and we continuously develop methods for working with placed children and youth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker for placed youth, you will work with youth placed in foster homes, supported housing, HVB, or SiS. You will regularly follow up on the youth and coordinate contacts around them, such as family, networks, schools, and other authorities. The work is based on both SoL and LVU.

You will work in a team with other social workers for placed children and youth, as well as with foster care secretaries. You will participate in the unit's Placement Council, where placement-related matters are discussed. Here, care is followed up and quality assured until discharge, focusing on handling difficulties and challenges in a solution-focused and proactive manner. We work together to create the best conditions for our youth.

You will be part of the Youth Group, where cases for children and youth aged 13-21 are handled. The Youth Group has broad experience, enjoys working with youth and the collaboration it entails, and sees laughter as an important part of everyday life. Working in a team is viewed as a strength, and great importance is placed on building relationships and working together with families.

The unit has a regular BBIC license and documents in Combine. External supervision is included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. You have experience in the authority's exercise of social services, preferably directed towards children and youth. You have good knowledge of the mission of social services and current legislation. Experience with BBIC is an advantage.

As a person, you are meticulous, independent, and adaptable to changing conditions and planning in your work. Since the job involves many contacts, both internally and externally, you should have good collaboration skills, be outgoing and positive. You should be able to express yourself easily in both speech and writing. Personal suitability is highly valued. We are looking for someone who has a driver's license.
